Founded by Heinrich Koch
Heinrich Koch from Glane founds the company with a horse and wagon and establishes a transport business in Osnabrück. His reliability and commitment form the foundation for long-term success. His son Franz and daughter-in-law Paula continue these values.
Generational Change
After completing his commercial training, Heinrich Koch joins the family business during challenging times and advances the transport operations.
Brotherly Partnership
Walter Koch joins the company alongside his brother Heinrich. Together they navigate difficult times and lay the foundation for future expansion.
Expansion of Mühlenstraße Headquarters
The Mühlenstraße headquarters is expanded with administration, furniture department and workshop. The freight business relocates to Elbestraße to meet growing demands.
Strategic Expansion
Koch International builds a modern freight facility at the A1 motorway (Osnabrück-Hafen exit), complemented by a truck stop. Strategic investments in additional logistics halls optimize operations.
New Headquarters
The company moves to a modern facility at Prof.-Porsche-Straße in Osnabrück – a significant growth step and symbol for the evolution from horse-drawn transport to a forward-thinking logistics provider.
International Partnership – UTS
Koch becomes a founding member and shareholder of UniGroup Worldwide UTS, joining an international network for modern moving management that enables worldwide relocation support.
Modern Container Hall
A modern container hall with crane system opens, improving storage efficiency and expanding logistics capabilities.
Independent Moving Company
The moving department becomes an independent company: Heinrich Koch | Internationale Umzugs- und Archivlogistik GmbH – focusing on customized relocation and archive logistics solutions.
Joining AML
Koch joins AML (Archive and Material Logistics), strengthening expertise in secure document storage and material management.
New Logo & IAM Membership
A modern logo redesign reflects the contemporary positioning as a forward-thinking service provider. The same year, Koch joins the International Association of Movers (IAM) – a global network with over 2,000 members in 170+ countries.
GEM Network Member
Membership in the Global Exclusive Movers' Network (GEM) enables access to mid-sized, internationally active moving companies and offers collaboration without direct competition.
ITMC Certification
