How long does a move to the USA take by sea freight?
Transit time is around 2–3 weeks to the East Coast (New York, Boston) and 4–6 weeks to the West Coast (Los Angeles, San Francisco). Including packing and customs clearance, plan for 6–10 weeks in total. For urgent shipments we offer air freight.
What does a move to the USA cost?
For a full move of a three-room apartment, expect roughly EUR 7,000–10,500 by sea freight. The price depends on volume, destination and additional services. After a survey you receive a binding fixed-price quote including customs fees.
Which items may not be imported into the USA?
The USA prohibits the import of fresh food, certain plants, weapons without a permit and counterfeit branded goods, among others. Medication requires a prescription. Our customs team advises you in advance on which items could be problematic.
